Superbook Review
2005 Online Sportsbook of the year! We need not say more, but we will. Upon reviewing Superbook, we were not sure what to expect. We have seen their sister site, playersonly.com, but have not dug deep into this one. Here are our findings.
First off, Superbook has thousands of members and has been around for many years. They offer no-fee deposits, super customer service via live chat, e-mail or phone. Your account is updated almost immediately when a game ends. No 24 hour wait to see the money hit your account like some online sportsbooks do. They offer the usual array of options for deposits and withdrwals. Firepay, Bank wires, credit ccrades, neteller, etc.
A feature we found to be ultra fantastic was the "Demo Sportsbook" area. This essentially takes you into the sportsbook using a fake account with around a million dollars to play with. You can browse through the live betting lines and place wagers on games to get a true feeling of how the betting
experience works at Superbook. Most online sportsbooks do not let you get this detailed of a look prior to making your initial deposit. Big kudos for them on this feature alone! We went straight into the NBA lines to see how it worked. The avid gambler will love the options. Through a series of drop down boxes, you can choose a parlay, teaser, straight bet, progressive parlays, etc. You can can even do 11 teams parlays if you want.
They had an option called an "IF" bet that was actaully new to us. The following description was offered on their web site:
An If Win bet is an excellent choice for money management. You wager a fixed amount on one team, if that team wins, then the same amount as your original wager is placed on a different team.
Note: Limits are set to the same limits as the total for the event.
For example, you can have a two team If Win Bet for $11 on the Steelers and Bengals. If the Steelers win, you risked $11 to win $10 and now you have another $11 wager on the Bengals. If they win, then you win another $10 for a total of $20 in winnings. If the Bengals lose, then you lose $1, because you won $10 on the Steelers and you lose $11 on the Bengals. If the Steelers lost, then you lose your original $11 and you have no bet on the Bengals.
Well, enough with betting options. Back to more review. We really liked their Gambling Tips area. It gave you little tidbits of information on various games out there that we found pretty useful. Although we found it under a section called "Statistics", which seemed misplaced to us. In the bonus and promo areas, you would be hard pressed to find an online sportsbook with more options than Superbook. If you enjoy casino games, they offer popular games such as poker and backgammon. If you have never tried online poker or online backgammon, you owe it to yourself to explore these exciting online options and Superbook is the place to get started.
Here is just a sampling of the creative promos they were running when we reviewed the site:
NFL shutout refund:
If your NFL team is shutout, we will refund ALL money line bets.
In running wagering:
Bet the lines on the game, on each quarter, first half, and half time
Double your Money contest:
Pick 3 questions out of 4 and if you get them right, they will double your winnings for the day.
Player Performance Paybacks:
Every week SportingbetUSA will pick an NBA player. The better the player does, the more $$ we add on to your winnings! If you bet on the game they are in and you win your bet, they pay you extra winnings depending on how well they do.
As you can see, there are all kinds of cool wagering concepts. The crew at Superbook is keeping busy. At the time of this writing they were offering a 10% signup bonus and initial deposits of as little as $20. To round of their services, they offer a poker room (which had over 10,000 players when we lasted looked), casino, wagering tutorials and more. Recently they were voted the 2005 Sportsbook of the year, so check them out today.
